Move over, leopards. A new feline is taking over this spring season, and she’s got bite. While cheetah print became a neutral in 2018, it seems that tiger, snakeskin, and zebra prints are 2019’s hottest patterns.
And it’s not just the natural colorway we’re wearing – bright blues and neon green accompany some of the prints. This could scream 70’s rock and roll to me or sleek, model-type fashion depending on the styling. Whatever your preference, here’s your guide to the statement-making trend.
Treat any animal print like your new neutral by adding them to basic pieces you already own. Throw on a classic trench coat, and you’re set.
Mix and match animal prints and/or other patterns. Don’t be afraid to add color too – just pair with basics.
Don’t limit your prints to clothes – try a bag or shoes. My favorite snakeskin print piece is actually these boots that hit mid-shin.
Though tiger print is in the spotlight right now, I love zebra print! It’s so cute and unexpected versus the well-known cheetah print. I love it even more when paired with the neon trend!
Speaking of the unexpected – try a cow print piece for a dip into the Western trend. Pair with cowboy boots and you’ve got a look.
Follow your animal instincts and try the trend!
